Bulgaria’snewly-appointed Permanent Representative to NATO, Ivan Naydenov, haspresented his credentials to the Secretary-General,Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
At the event, Ambassador Naydenov confirmed the continuity of Bulgaria’sforeign policy and said that the country wouldcontinue to fulfill its commitments to the alliance, its policy, operations and capacity building.
In ensuing conversation, they discussed topical issues on NATO's agenda, including the “Open Doors” policy,the upcoming summit in 2014, operationsin Afghanistan, as well as other matters..
There were also discussions ofrecent events in the Middle East and North Africa, including in Syria and Egypt.
