Minister Petrova: Bulgaria Is Expanding Political and Economic Dialogue with Partners from Different Regions

Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova participated in a series of multilateral formats and bilateral meetings during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Minister Petrova took part in the informal meeting of the foreign ministers of the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), dedicated to dialogue and cooperation between the two regions.
She held talks with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Barham Salih and participated in an event marking the 75th anniversary of the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees, which Bulgaria co-sponsored.
Velislava Petrova held bilateral meetings with Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan and Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev. The discussions focused on connectivity and the development of concrete partnerships. The meetings form part of Bulgaria’s efforts to deepen relations with the countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
