Velislava Petrova and Joe Wilson Discuss Advancing the Strategic Partnership Between Bulgaria and the United States

Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova held a meeting with US Congressman Joe Wilson, founder and longstanding Co-Chair of the Congressional Bulgaria Caucus in the House of Representatives, during her visit to New York for the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The discussion focused on the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the United States, cooperation in the field of security and defence, and opportunities for more active political and economic dialogue.
Minister Petrova emphasised the importance of sustained support in Congress for the development of bilateral relations and thanked Congressman Wilson for his longstanding commitment to Bulgaria.
“Bulgaria and the United States are allies and strategic partners. Our task is to translate this partnership into tangible results for the security, economies and resilience of both countries,” Minister Petrova said.
