Deputy Minister Ivanka Tasheva Held a Meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Bulgaria, Arthur den Hartog

On 8 July 2026, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivanka Tasheva held a protocol meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Bulgaria, Arthur den Hartog.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues relating to the development of Bulgarian – Dutch relations were discussed. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to further deepening bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data centres, trade and investment.
Particular attention was paid to the successful cooperation in the fields of maritime security and naval cooperation. The need to further develop joint efforts to strengthen and modernise defence capabilities in the Black Sea region and to ensure peace and security in Europe through solidarity and shared responsibility was also underlined.
Deputy Minister Tasheva and Ambassador den Hartog exchanged views on current issues on the European agenda, including EU enlargement, the war in Ukraine, the Multiannual Financial Framework, as well as the governance and resilience of critical infrastructure. Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue and expand dialogue at both the political and expert levels in all areas of mutual interest.
