Minister Velislava Petrova Holds Meeting with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani

Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova held a meeting with Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani. The discussion took place within the framework of the Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels.
The two discussed the implementation of Corridor VIII, transport and energy connectivity, and cooperation in the field of defence. Minister Tajani congratulated his Bulgarian counterpart on her appointment to the post.
Topics discussed also included cooperation between the two countries within the European Union with regard to enhancing the competitiveness of European economies, as well as preserving the funding and role of the Common Agricultural Policy and the Cohesion Policy within the next Multiannual Financial Framework of the European Union for the period 2028-2034.
