The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that the operation to evacuate Bulgarian citizens from the Middle East and Iran continues to be carried out in stages and to the extent possible given the circumstances in the respective countries.
At present, in conjunction with the assistance provided to Bulgarian citizens by our diplomatic missions in the region, the efforts of the Crisis Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are focused on the evacuation of our compatriots from Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain. A plan is in place to transport them by land across the border with Saudi Arabia in three groups and bring them together in Riyadh. Arrangements are also being made for a special flight from the Saudi capital to bring them back home.
