Minister Nadezhda Neynski discussed with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelaty the latest developments in the Middle East, with both agreeing on the need to de-escalate tensions in the region. Minister Neynski welcomed Egypt's role as a stabilizing factor in the region and the country's constructive efforts to find lasting solutions to a number of regional challenges, including the situation in Gaza.
Upon the initiative of the Bulgarian side, Minister Nadezhda Neynski also held a telephone conversation with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Minister Neynski strongly condemned the Iranian attacks against the territory and sovereignty of the UAE and expressed solidarity with the Emirati people at this critical moment. She expressed gratitude for the efforts of the Emirati side to ensure the safety of all Bulgarian citizens currently in the UAE, noting that we will continue to rely on their cooperation.
