Recommendations for Bulgarian Citizens in the Middle East Region

In connection with the escalation of tensions in the region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria urges Bulgarian citizens located in the Middle East — and in particular on the territory of the Republic of Iraq, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — to strictly adhere to the security instructions issued by local authorities and to regularly stay informed about the situation on the ground. Bulgarian nationals are advised to avoid locations that attract large crowds and venues hosting mass gatherings.
We strongly encourage Bulgarian citizens to contact the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Bulgaria in the respective countries and to notify them of their current location and intended length of stay.
