Meeting of the National Coordinator on Antisemitism with the Contact Group

On May 22 2025, the National Coordinator for Combating Antisemitism, Deputy Minister Elena Shekerletova, convened a meeting of the Contact Group for Combating Antisemitism at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was attended by representatives of ministries and institutions involved in countering antisemitism, as well as representatives of Bulgarian Jewish organisations. Discussions focused on the implementation of activities outlined in the National Action Plan for Combating Antisemitism (2023-2027), as well as upcoming international events related to the fight against antisemitism in which the Republic of Bulgaria is scheduled to participate. All participants in the meeting reaffirmed the importance of the historical traditions of unity, respect, solidarity, and harmonious coexistence within Bulgarian society.
Pursuant to Council of Ministers Decision No. 874 of 2022, Deputy Minister Elena Shekerletova has been designated as National Coordinator for Combating Antisemitism by Order No. 95-00-67/19.05.2025 of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev.
