16 May 2013 News

At a formal ceremony today, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Marin Raykov conferred awards on employees with more than 30 years professional service at the ministry. Senior diplomats were awarded the Golden Badge of Honour and Silver Honours were conferred on employees who had worked at the institution for more than three decades. At the ceremony, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed into the ranks of the diplomatic service 20 who had successfully acquired the first diplomatic rank of attaché.

“Everyone should be assessed according to the contribution they have made. Thank you for all these years of work.”These were the words that Marin Raykov addressed to the long-serving employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressing the institution’s recognition of their efforts and professional merit.

The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister wished the young diplomats success in this profession, a precise and not easy one. “My wish is that you achieve more than we have and take care of the national interests of Bulgaria,”Marin Raykov said.
