On 16 July 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to our country H. E. Mr. Rami bin Saud Al-Otaibi handed over the copies of his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ivan Kondov.
At the meeting a mutual desire was expressed to further develop and expand the excellent relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was pointed out that the forthcoming first session of the Joint Committee in September this year would identify concrete opportunities for deepening trade and economic cooperation and interaction in a number of areas of mutual interest.
The current developments in the Middle East region were discussed, with Deputy Minister Ivan Kondov underlining the active role of Saudi Arabia in supporting efforts to ensure regional security and to restore the political horizon regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
