Deputy Minister Kostadin Kodzhabashev met with the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostadin Kodzhabashev today held a meeting with the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mariam Katagum, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The working visit to Bulgaria was carried out at the invitation of the Minister of Economy and Industry Mr. Nikola Stoyanov.
Both diplomats highlighted the traditionally good partnership relations between Bulgaria and Nigeria and agreed on the need for continued interaction between the countries to deepen political dialogue.
During the talks, in the light of the good bilateral relations, they also discussed the possibility of opening a Nigerian embassy in Sofia, as well as reciprocity of visa fees, which would have a positive impact on trade and economic relations.
During the meeting, topics related to strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including energy, trade, agriculture, investment and information technology, as well as education, were discussed.
