Deputy Minister Kostadin Kojabashev held a meeting with Nasiru Ado Bayero, Emir of Bichi and a member of the presidential family of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who is visiting Bulgaria. The working visit is implemented as a continuation of the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Joffrey Onyeama, to the Republic of Bulgaria in May 2022 and strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Within the framework of the meeting, the deepening of the political dialogue and the possibility of opening an embassy of the Republic of Nigeria in the Republic of Bulgaria were discussed. Issues related to the concretization of bilateral cooperation projects with priority on trade-economic partnership in areas such as telecommunications, information technology, military-industrial products, mining industry, agriculture and agrarian technology, and pharmaceutical industry were also discussed.
