Today, at the request of the Russian side, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Eleonora Mitrofanova was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She handed over a note verbale demanding, in an ultimatum tone, the withdrawal by 12.00 on July 1, 2022, of the note verbale on the declared personae non gratae officials of the Russian missions abroad. The note verbale reads that otherwise “a question will be raised with the Russian leadership without delay for closing the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bulgaria”.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs promptly notified the Prime Minister’s Office of the Russian note verbale and requested instructions for further action.
