Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova received the Ambassador of Mongolia to Bulgaria Lhagvasuren Sayanaa. The topics of the meeting were the bilateral cooperation and the opportunities for intensifying the political dialogue.
The two agreed on the desire to develop the bilateral ties and deepen relations in the fields of education, culture and agriculture.
Deputy Minister Petrova stressed that Bulgaria values its relations with Mongolia based on long-standing traditions of friendship and partnership. 22 April 2022 marks the 72nd anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries. In this context, various initiatives and projects were discussed, including the renewal of the Joint Programme for Cooperation in Culture, Education and Science, as well as the possibilities for a bilateral agreement in the field of transport.
Emphasis was also placed on the development of student exchange and the trade and economic potential between Bulgaria and Mongolia.
