Ambassador Todor Stoyanov presented his credentials to President Cavaco Silva

The Republic of Bulgaria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Portugal presented his credentials on January 14 2013 to President Professor Doctor Aníbal António Cavaco Silva at a ceremony at the Belém Palace. The ceremony was attended by Foreign Minister Paulo Portas, the Secretary-General of Foreign Affairs of Portugal António de Almeida Ribeiro, the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, the head of State Protocol and the Diplomatic Adviser to the President.

After the ceremony, the intense political relations between the two countries and the positive trend in economic co-operation in recent years were discussed. President Cavaco Silva emphasised the good co-operation between Portugal and Bulgaria in NATO and the EU, especially in regard to the Cohesion Policy.
