The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Irena Dimitrova received the Ambassador of Italy to Bulgaria Giuseppina Zarra. The excellent bilateral relations and constructive cooperation, as well as the potential for their future development were discussed.
Italy is our strategic partner and an important ally in the European Union and NATO, said Deputy Minister Dimitrova. They expressed readiness to continue the active political dialogue at all levels and to strenghten cooperation on all issues of common interest, including in the fields of economy, investment, digitalisation and culture.
Topics on the European agenda and the situation in Ukraine were also discussed during the meeting.
