24 February 2022 News

Currently, more than 300 Bulgarian citizens have sought help for evacuation, and their calls to the Situation Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and our two diplomatic missions in Ukraine continue.

In connection with the closure of some border checkpoints between Transnistria and Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Bulgarian citizens from southern Ukraine head to Moldova through the Reni-Giurgiu, Vinogradovka-Vulcanesti, Tabaki-Mirnoe and Mayaki Udobnoe-Palanka border checkpoints.

It is recommended that Bulgarian citizens from Northern and Western Ukraine head to the border checkpoitns with Romania.   Our Embassy in Chisinau and our Consulate in Taraclia in the Republic of Moldova are ready to provide immediate assistance for the unimpeded crossing of the border by all Bulgarian citizens at the Reni-Giurgiu, Vinogradovka-Vulcanesti, Tabaki-Mirnoe and Mayaki Udobnoe-Palanca border checkpoints.

Our diplomats are in constant contact with the consular offices of the EU member states.
