Deputy Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova received copies of letters of credence from the newly appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria Do Hoang Long.
The meeting reaffirmed the desire to intensify bilateral relations on the basis of opportunities for cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
Deputy Minister Petrova stressed that our country attaches great importance to trade and economic relations with Vietnam. She pointed out that there is potential for the development of cooperation in energy, industry, medicine, pharmacy, information technology, innovation and tourism.
During the conversation, Deputy Minister Petrova and Ambassador Long also discussed the possibilities for additional cultural exchange between the two countries, as well as the possibility for more Vietnamese young people to study at Bulgarian universities.
