The Ministry of Foreign Affairs awarded distinguished persons with contribution to the development of cultural diplomacy

The State Cultural Institute under the Minister of Foreign Affairs honoured prominent persons with a contribution to the popularization of Bulgarian culture, historical heritage and the development of cultural diplomacy. Diplomas on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Institute were awarded to Assoc. Prof. Albena Taneva, Prof. Aksinia Dzhurova, Ivo Hadjimishev, Daniela Todorova, Lyubov Kostova and Yavor Koynakov.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev thanked the winners and the entire team of the State Cultural Institute (STI) for their efforts to represent our country in the best way.
"We thank you for the cooperation, for those efforts and often self-sacrifice that you put into your work, so that we could enjoy it and through it represent Bulgaria before our international partners", Deputy Minister Georgiev said.
At the ceremony, UPGRADE II, the first exhibition of the year at the Institute was presented with the latest works submitted to the Art Fund of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The exhibition includes graphics, collage and mixed media, as well as paintings by some of the most prominent contemporary Bulgarian artists, including Gredi Assa, Mariana Marinova, Nina Ruseva, Lyudmil Lazarov, Dimitar Petrov, Zoran Mishe.
The UPGRADE II exhibition can be seen until February 19, 2021 in the Mission gallery, in compliance with all anti-epidemic measures, as well as online - on the website and Facebook page of the STI.
