Update on the situation of the Bulgarians in Netivot

17 November 2012 News

The Bulgarian Embassy in Israel this morning acted to assist the group of 14 Bulgarian citizens in the city of Netivot to move to Tel Aviv, where they are to remain. A further two Bulgarian nationals from this group are already in Bulgaria, and one declined to leave the city.

The Bulgarian diplomatic mission is in contact with 19 other Bulgarian citizens who are in Be’er Sheva and who have expressed a wish to leave the city to move to a safer place in Israel. They are in Israel through an agreement on brokerage and temporary employment between Bulgaria and Israel.

The Foreign Ministry recommends that all Bulgarian citizens visiting and living in the State of Israel register on the “I am travelling to” section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website HERE
