Ivan Naydenov is the new Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs

Ivan Naydenov has been appointed Deputy Foreign Minister for European Affairs, by order of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
 
Ambassador Naydenov is a career diplomat with long experience in foreign policy. During Bulgaria’s chairmanship of the OSCE in 2004, Naydenov was the personal envoy of the President of the OSCE.
 
From 1998 to 2002, he was Bulgaria’s Permanent Representative to the office of the UN and other international organisations in Vienna.
 
Before being appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, he was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria in Warsaw. He takes over the European Affairs portfolio, which until now has been the responsibility of Deputy Minister Konstantin Dimitrov.
