The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the terrorist attack committed against the Al-Rawdah Mosque in the town of Bir al-Abed, North Sinai, Arab Republic of Egypt.
This barbarous act committed during Friday prayers reveals the true face of extremist ideology and should rally us in the efforts to uproot radicalism and terrorism.
We express our deep empathy with the suffering of the relatives of the dozens of people killed and injured in the attack, and we hope that the friendly people of Egypt will be able to overcome this tragedy and cope successfully with the challenges of terrorism.
