24 young professionals win places as trainee attaches at the Foreign Ministry

02 December 2011 News

The competition for trainee attaches at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced on August 22 2011, has been completed.

It was held in three stages – selection on the basis of documents, a written examination, which included problem-solving and the preparation of a situation analysis, and oral interviews with the candidates who passed the written exam.

A hundred and forty-two young professionals expressed interest in a career at the Foreign Ministry. Twenty-four of them were successful in the process of recruitment for the post of “assistant attache”. The scores of those approved, after the final ranking of candidates, were between 4.43 and 5.57.

The MFA is committed to holding such a competition annually as part of reform of the diplomatic service, which is aimed at improving the conditions for career development of young and competent professionals. The next competition call for young diplomats will be launched in March 2012.
