Senegal is an important partner for Bulgaria

“Senegal is not only a democratic and stable country, but also a country that actively works to resolve conflicts in the region of Africa. Therefore it is an important partner for Bulgaria, and we can work together to help countries in the region,” Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nickolay Mladenov after meeting with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Senegal, Madické Niang.
Bulgaria can share its experience and expertise with Senegal in many priority areas such as agriculture, education, and strengthen bilateral business contacts.
"Senegal is a gateway to investment in the region of West Africa, to which Bulgaria is becoming more open and, with such a partner, can only succeed," Minister Mladenov said.
The two countries can co-operate within the EU-Africa dialogue, as well as on issues on the agenda of the UN.
