Minister Daniel Mitov to participate in the Informal “Gymnich” Meeting of EU Foreign Ministers
29 August 2014 - 30 August 2014 Diplomatic CalendarMinister Daniel Mitov will participate in the informal “Gymnich” meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers. The meeting will take place on 29 and 30 August in Milan within the framework of the Italian Presidency of the EU.
On 29 August the Foreign Ministers will focus on the outlook for the Middle East peace process in light of the ceasefire achieved in the Gaza Strip. They will also discuss the Eastern Partnership, with emphasis on the situation in Ukraine and EU-Russia relations.
On the second day of the meeting, the discussions will focus on the Southern Neighbourhood, in particular the situation in Syria, Libya and Iraq.
