Deputy Minister Elena Shekerletova to Participate in the Regular Meeting of the EU General Affairs Council in Brussels
18 July 2025 Diplomatic CalendarOn 18 July 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms Elena Shekerletova will be in Brussels to take part in the regular meeting of the General Affairs Council. The Council will hold an initial exchange of views on the legislative package for the post-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), presented by the European Commission on 16 July 2025. Ministers will also discuss a proposal by Spain to include Catalan, Basque and Galician – languages with official status in Spain – within the European Union’s language regime.
The Presidency will provide information on the horizontal approach it intends to apply in relation to the simplification of EU legislation.
