The forum is traditionally hosted by the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU and chaired by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell.
The program will commence with a joint meeting with the defense ministers to discuss the revised draft of the Strategic Compass for the EU in the field of security and defense.
The two working sessions during the informal Gymnich meeting will discuss the development of the security situation in Eastern Europe and EU-China relations.
The forum will feature the participation of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat and Aïssata Tall Sall, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Senegal, and the topic of the talks will be the upcoming EU-Africa Summit.
