8th Workshop for Young Diplomats from the BSEC Member States under the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office of the BSEC Organization

The 8th Workshop for Young Diplomats from the BSEC Member States was held in Istanbul from 10 to 12 December 2025. The seminar was jointly organized by the BSEC Permanent Secretariat and the current Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office of the Organization, within the framework of the EU HORIZON 2020 REST COAST project. The theme of the event was “Building Tomorrow: Project Implementation for Sustainable Growth in the BSEC Region”.
The main objective of the seminar was to provide participants with in-depth knowledge of the project dimension of BSEC activities, with particular focus on the development, management and implementation of projects, including through cooperation with other regional/international organizations and partners. The seminar was held in an interactive format, encouraging active participation and exchange of views among participants.
Ms. Rositsa Stoeva, National Coordinator of the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office of the BSEC Organization, delivered a presentation, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation and the role of BSEC in the region. The participants benefited of presentations by and interaction with senior representatives and experts from the host country, international and regional organizations and academia, including OECD, UNDP, UNOPS, UN TOURISM, SEI, BSTDB, BSEC-URTA, ICBSS and others.
