The BSEC PERMIS Secretary General Ambassador Lazar Comănescu paid a visit to Bulgaria

On 1 July 2025, Ambassador Lazar Comănescu, Secretary General of the Permanent International Secretariat of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC PERMIS), paid a visit to Sofia within the current Chairmanship-in-Office (C-i-O) of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss the priorities, initiatives, and events foreseen within the calendar of events of the C-i-O.
During his stay, Ambassador Comănescu had meetings in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria and delivered a lecture on “Regional Development in the wider Black Sea area”, organized by the Diplomatic Institute. In his keynote speech he emphasized on the importance of economic diplomacy and practical partnership in achieving stability and sustainable growth within the wider Black Sea area.
