Seminar for young francophones from Central and Eastern Europe opens in Sofia

With a welcome address by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Kristian Vigenin,  a seminar organized by the International Organization of la Francophonie (OIF) for francophones aged 21 - 30 from Central and Eastern Europe was opened is Sofia. From 12 to 15 November 2013 more than 40 young people from Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Macedonia, Moldova and Romania, and one from Guinea and Cameroon, will be trained in the creation and management of micro-projects in order to prepare them for a better integration to the labor market. The event is part of the celebrations, marking the 20th anniversary of Bulgaria’s full membership in the Francophonie. The seminar is in line with our organization’s youth policy and its efforts to build an economic strategy of the Francophonie, which will multiply our possibilities to work for a peaceful, stable, just and economically balanced world, affirming the values ​, important for the Francophonie, namely, democracy,  human rights, tolerance , solidarity and cultural diversity. This is in welcoming Minister Vigenin who appreciated the choice for Sofia to host the event as a recognition of the dynamics of the Francophonie not only in our country, but also in the region.
The opening was attended by leading representatives of the International Organization of the Francophonie , of the University Agency of La Francophonie and the diplomatic corps in Sofia.
