Ambassador Veselin Dyankov presented his credentials to the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani

On 27 April 2023, at a ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, Veselin Djankov presented his credentials to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, based in Tunisia.
At the meeting with the President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the common desire to intensify the dialogue and develop the cooperation between Bulgaria and Mauritania, including by promoting business contacts between the two countries, was confirmed. The importance of developing the partnership between the EU and Mauritania was also underlined.
The official ceremony of awarding the credentials was preceded by a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug.
