A regular meeting of the EU General Affairs Council is held in Brussels
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elena Shekerletova today represented Bulgaria at the regular meeting of the EU General Affairs Council, which took place in the Belgian capital. At the beginning of the meeting, the Hungarian presidency presented its priorities, after which the Council discussed the preparations for the regular October European Council meeting and held a discussion on the state of the rule of law in the Union as well as in 4 candidate countries from the Western Balkans.

Minister Kondov took part in the informal meeting in New York of the Foreign Ministers of the EU Member States
The day before the opening of the General Debate of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, the EU foreign ministers held their traditional meeting to coordinate positions on the leading topics on the agenda. The meeting took place at the Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations in New York. The main topics of the discussions were the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East. The first diplomats of the EU countries also had a meeting with the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha.

Minister Kondov meets US Assistant Secretary of State James O’Brien
The ambitions for deepening the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the United States and the opportunities for further intensifying cooperation in key areas such as security and defence, energy diversification, trade and economy, innovation and technology, strengthening democracy and the rule of law were discussed today in New York by Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov and US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia James O'Brien.

In connection with numerous publications and statements of officials from Hungary on the issue of the delivery of shipments of communication equipment on the territory of Lebanon and Syria, we emphasize that as a result of the checks carried out by SANS, together with the NRA, the Ministry of Interior and the Customs Agency, it has been established in an undisputed and categorical way that no communication devices corresponding to the explosions in Lebanon and Syria have been imported, exported or manufactured in Bulgaria.
