The Consular Office in Kiev issued the 100 000th visa

16 July 2014 News

On 15 July the Consular Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Ukraine issued the 100 000th visa for 2014. The recipient, Ukrainian citizen Oleksandr Gerasimchuk from Lutsk, is travelling to Bulgaria with his wife Elena Kalinyushko and their daughter Anastasia Kalinyushko as tourists.

Since the 2008 entry into force of the EU-Ukraine visa facilitation regime, by 2013 the number of visas issued by the Consular Office of the Embassy of Bulgaria in Kiev is increasing on annual basis. In 2014, the number of Ukrainian tourists wishing to visit Bulgaria remains high.

The decline in 2014 compared to the same period in 2013 shows that despite the serious factors that influence the ability of Ukrainian citizens to go on holidays in our country, the tourist interest in the Bulgarian Black Sea remains stable.
