Minister Vigenin participates in the 68th session of the UN

Minister of Foreign Affairs Kristian Vigenin will be on September 21 in New York to participate in the 68th session of the UN General Assembly. In addition to the general debate on “Post-2015 Development Agenda: Setting the Stage”, he will participate in an informal consultation of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Francophone community on peace and security, and in a high-level meeting on the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. The program of the Minister includes also participation in the meeting of EU foreign ministers, high-level meeting, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Vienna Human Rights Declaration, high-level meeting on nuclear disarmament, EU 28 – US political dialogue, ministerial meeting of the UN Alliance of Civilizations Group of Friends, ministerial meeting of the South-East European Cooperation process, etc.

Minister Vigenin has scheduled bilateral meetings with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Israel, Lebanon, Iran, Tunisia, Panama, Albania, Indonesia, Singapore, Cuba, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Angola, Uzbekistan, Belarus, etc.

Kristian Vigenin will also hold talks with the Secretary General of the Arab League and the Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee.

The program of the Minister includes meeting with the Bulgarian community at the Consulate General in New York.
