Bulgarians in Serbia united around a platform to protect their rights

The National Council of the Bulgarian Minority in Serbia and 12 different political parties and cultural and educational organisations of Bulgarians in our neighbour to the west signed on July 13 2013 a platform to protect the rights of the Bulgarian national minority in the Republic of Serbia.
The platform includes the clear desire of the representatives of the minority to work together and to overcome the challenges facing them. The Bulgarian institutions are carefully monitoring the issue of the maintenance, in accordance with local legislation and international legal norms, of the full spectrum of the rights of representatives of the Bulgarian national minority in the Republic of Serbia.
The document fits in with, and supports the European integration of the Republic of Serbia and proposes a solution to the problem issues in connection with the Bulgarian minority in the spirit of European values and norms.
