On 26 May, Deputy Foreign Minister Ms Nevyana Miteva took part in a meeting of the Political Committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in the framework of the Spring Session of the Assembly hosted by the Bulgarian National Assembly.
In her speech, she highlighted the need to achieve meaningful results at the upcoming NATO Summit in Washington in July in several aspects — the Alliance's continued support to Ukraine, the strengthening of NATO's deterrence and defence capabilities, including on the eastern flank and the strengthening of security in the Black Sea, and the development of NATO partnerships. Particular emphasis was placed on the need for the Washington meeting to articulate clear messages and strategies to address disinformation and the growing hybrid attacks against the Alliance, particularly their malign influence on young people.
