The Director of the Southern Europe Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Israel Uri Rothman gave a briefing on "Israel and Developments in the Middle East"

On June 1, 2021, the Director of the Southern Europe Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, Uri Rothman, gave a briefing for leaders and experts in the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry on topic "Israel and Developments in the Middle East." Uri Rothman is a diplomat with over 20 years of experience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Israel and with extensive experience in the Middle East and Europe. The Ambassador of the State of Israel to Bulgaria Joram Elron also took part in the event.

The main highlights discussed during the meeting were the Israel's position on the latest armed actions between the groups in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli Defence Forces, as well as current developments related to the so-called "Abraham Accords" between Israel and Arab states.

In front of his colleagues from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during his first visit to Bulgaria, Uri Rothman noted the excellent bilateral relations between Israel and Bulgaria and praised the positions held by the Bulgarian government in international forums.
