19 September 2013 News

Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee held a hearing today of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Vietnam, Evgeni Stoychev, and the Ambassador to Canada, Nikolay Milkov.

Active support to the Bulgarian business, increase of the exports, and dealing with the negative trade balance of Bulgaria are among the priorities of Ambassador Evgeni Stoychev. “In the trade relations between Bulgaria and Vietnam there is a significant imbalance and the level of goods exchange in recent years does not correspond to the real potential of the two countries. Over the next four years we will work towards resolving this problem," Stoychev said.

"In our bilateral relations with Canada, there are many untapped possibilities. My main task is lifting the visa regime and strengthening the contacts with the largest Bulgarian community in the country,” said Ambassador Nikolay Milkov. Among the priorities of the work of Ambassador Milkov is the development of cooperation through the implementation of bilateral high-level visits.
