Deputy Minister Ivan Kondov held a meeting with the Ambassador of Kosovo in Bulgaria

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kosovo to the Republic of Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Haxhi Bajraktari.

During the talks, the state of bilateral relations was highly appreciated and opportunities for deepening cooperation in various areas were discussed. It was noted that Kosovo's visa liberalization has led to a significant increase in the flow of tourists to Bulgarian winter resorts, which has the potential to positively affect economic cooperation.

Ambassador Bajraktari expressed his gratitude for Bulgaria's consistent support for state-building in the newest republic on the Balkans and stressed that our country is a true partner and friend to Kosovo.

For his part, Deputy Minister Kondov noted that Kosovo could continue to count on our support in the future. He stressed the importance of the Bulgarian community in Kosovo as a natural bridge of friendship and welcomed the country's efforts to build a multi-ethnic society with equal opportunities for all citizens. In this context some of the problems of the Bulgarian community and the possibilities for their solution were discussed.

During the talks, the importance of efforts to strengthen stability and peace in the region in the context of destabilizing influences of external forces was highlighted.

Topical issues from the European agenda were also discussed, including the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
