The European Commission today published the interim reports on Bulgaria and Romania under the Cooperation and Verification (CVM).
“This is a technical report and political interpretations cannot be made. The report simply helps us to orient ourselves, what we still have to do,” Foreign Minister Nickolay Mladenov said.
Recommendations in the European Commission report of July 20 2011 continue to be the starting point for our actions. In the coming months our efforts will be geared towards convincing results in implementing the recommendations in six monitoring areas, he said.
Nickolay Mladenov added that “instead of making broad conclusions, it is better to focus on specific issues. Our goal is not just a good report, but to have a well-functioning judicial system and more equitable society”.
