Foreign Minister to participate in the General Affairs Council

Minister of Foreign Affairs Kristian Vigenin will participate in the EU General Affairs Council, which will be held on February 11, 2014 in Brussels. The ministers will exchange views on the preparation of the European Council in March , which will focus on energy and climate change, as well as on the competitiveness of the European industry.
During the Council, the Hellenic presidency of the EU will present its priorities for the duration of its term of office (January to July 2014). The ministers will exchange views on the draft decision of the EU Council on placing genetically modified maize on the market for cultivation.
After the meeting Minister Vigenin will give a press briefing at 12:45 pm.
