Georgian Foreign Minister arrives on a visit to Sofia

At the invitation of Minister Kristian Vigenin, on 25 November this year the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maia Panjikidze will be on a visit to Sofia. During the official talks between the two ministers, they will discuss the bilateral relations and the opportunities for their further activation in all areas, as well as issues related to the European and Euro-Atlantic perspective of Georgia, including the participation in the Eastern Partnership initiative of the EU in the context of the forthcoming Summit in Vilnius.

The two top diplomats will sign a Protocol for enhanced cooperation and consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria and Georgia. After the signing of the document, the ministers will give statements to the media.

The official talks will take place at 10.45 am in the building of the MFA. Media representatives are invited to take protocol photos at the beginning of the meeting, as well as to make media coverage of the statements of the two foreign ministers after the signing of the Protocol at 11.45 am.

From 04.30 pm Kristian Vigenin and Maia Panjikidze will participate in a discussion, organized by the Atlantic Club in Bulgaria and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The event will take place at the Royal Hall, Sheraton Hotel.

During her visit to Sofia, Minister Panjikidze will be received by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev, the President of the National Assembly Mihail Mikov and will hold talks with the Chairman of Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee Yanaki Stoilov.
