The Consul General of Bulgaria Angel Angelov attended a holly liturgy in Dormition of the Virgin Mary Church in Southampton, led by Metropolitan Anthony of Western and Central Europe and Protopresbyter Karloutsos in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, in English, Bulgarian and Greek.

On February 23, 2023, the Consulate General hosted a presentation of the book "The Biographer" by the Bulgarian writer Stefan Kisyov. His new novel is an exciting and innovative account of the life of Constantine Cyril the Philosopher. The main character is a ninth-century biographer who writes a biography of Constantine the Philosopher and embarks on a journey to Rome, Venice, Constantinople, Pliska to study his life and work.

The Consul General of Bulgaria in New York, Angel Angelov, took part in a working breakfast organized by the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York on February 4, 2023.

On February 3, 2023 the Annual meeting of the American College of Sofia was held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the reopening of the College in 1992. The event was hosted by the Bulgarian Consulate in New York

On January 31, 2023, the Consul General in New York and his family represented Bulgaria in an international fair at Public School 267 in New York. Several hundred students, accompanied by their parents, visited Bulgaria's stand and learned about its rich culture and traditions.
