Theatrical performance at the Consulate General

On May 2, 2023, the Consulate General hosted the theater production “One drink, please!” by Anna Petrova. The production was created by the Theater studio for parents and teachers at the Gergana School in New York. Galina Georgieva, Gina DiDonato, who is also the director, Eva Gendel, Emilia Antonova, Iva Sabcheva, Lora Al-Ahmad, Pavlina Berti and Yuliana Angelova took part in the production, and the voices behind the scenes were Nelly and Valentin Hadjiyski. All actresses, except the director Gina DiDonato, have no previous theater experience and are professionals in various fields, such as business, education, diplomacy.
The play tells the story of two women in four periods of their lives. Instead of their names, they are represented by their stereotypes in society - one is smart, the other is pretty.
The guests and participants in the performance were welcomed by the consul general Mr. Angel Angelov, and the director of Gergana School Ms. Nelly Hadjiyska told how the theater studio for parents and teachers of the school was created. The director Gina DiDonato introduced the play to the audience.
The audience enjoyed the performance and was genuinely entertained.
