Ambassador Rumen Alexandrov was a special guest during the Remembrance Day of saviours of Jews during the World War II. The event was held on the 8th of November 2018 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and was attended by numerous Dutch citizens, including Jewish survivors during the WWII and their family members, representatives from the municipality authorities of the city of Amsterdam, civil society organizations, media representatives and members of the diplomatic corps in The Netherlands.

On 19th of May 2017 the Director of Europol welcomed H.E. Mr. Rumen Alexandrov in his office in the headquarters of Europol while expressing his satisfaction of the excellent cooperation with Bulgaria. In return, Ambassador Alexandrov expressed his gratitude for the given possibility to exchange opinions and noted the permanent and stable growth of the cooperation between Europol and Bulgaria.

Joint celebration with the Embassy of Romania on the occasion of the 10th year anniversary of the accession of the Republic of Bulgaria to the EU

The Embassy of Bulgaria together with the Embassy of Romania celebrated the 10th year anniversary of becoming EU member states. The event took place on the 10th of April 2017 close to the alley “Laan van Europa” in Malieveld, The Hague, where on the 1st of May 2004 25 trees were planted which marked the accession of ten new members to the EU. Two more trees were planted in 2007 when Bulgaria and Romania became member states.

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Mr. Rumen Alexandrov presented his Letters of Credence to the King of the Netherlands Willem-Alexander at an official ceremony which took place on the 25th of January 2017 at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague.
