The 2nd China-CEEC Conference on Technology Cooperation and Exchange took place in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, on 19 October 2023. It was organized by the Department of International Cooperation of Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology (JSTD).

The inauguration ceremony of the first wholly foreign-owned (Bulgarian) enterprise in the Yangtze River Delta - Ningbo Baojiahua Biomaterials Co. Ltd., took place at the China-CEEC Industrial Cooperation Park in Yuyao, Ningbo in Zhejiang province on August 31st, 2023. Mr. Desislav Despodov is the manager of the company that will manufacture compostable and biodegradable shopping bags, sacks, etc. The use of similar products made of nylon will be forbidden in China after 2025.

On 9 June 2023 the exhibition “Bulgarian Monuments under the Protection of UNESCO” was opened to visitors in Qinhuai district of Nanjing – the capital city of Jiangsu province. The exhibition is a part of the 19th Cultural and Natural Heritage Day and exhibitions from Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Chile and other countries participate in it as well.

At the invitation of the Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province (Jiangsu FAO), the Consul General Vladislav Spasov visited Suqian city on 19-20 April 2023. Other Consuls General and representatives of diplomatic missions from Argentina, Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Portugal, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of South Africa, Türkiye, the USA, etc. in Shanghai also participated in the initiative.

On March 8th, 2023, at the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Shanghai an agreement was signed for the implementation of a Bulgarian project for bio-based degradable new material products in the CEEC Industrial Cooperation Park in Ningbo, Zhejiang province.

On March 3rd, 2023, the Bulgarian community from the consular region of the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Shanghai, together with representatives of the Bulgarian Center at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the China-CEEC Innovation Cooperation Research Center in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, Chinese citizens who have studied Bulgarian language and other friends of Bulgaria celebrated Bulgaria’s National Day – March 3rd and the 145th Anniversary of Bulgaria’s Liberation.
