On 16 February 2023 the Consul General Vladislav Spasov met the Vice President of Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Ms. Jing Ying.  

The fifth edition of China International Import Expo (CIIE) is taking place in Shanghai from 5 to 10 November 2022.

On 1 November 2022 the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Shanghai organized a celebration of the National Awakeners’ Day in which people from the Bulgarian community, Chinese fiends and foreigners living in the megalopolis took part.   

The Inauguration Ceremony of Sino-Bulgarian Joint Lab of Climate Change Adaptive Governance for Rural Ecosystem took place in Qian Xuesen Library & Museum of Shanghai Jiao Tong University on 30 September 2022. The project is supported by the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality and will be implemented in partnership between Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) from Chinese side and the Institute of Agricultural Economics (IAE) of Agricultural Academy (AA), Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Agricultural University - Plovdiv and University of National and World Economy (UNWE), from Bulgarian side. The project’s duration is three years and both sides will prepare joint reports, publications and international conferences as well as student exchange programs will be organized in its frame.

On the occasion of September 6th – Bulgarian Unification Day, the Consulate General in Shanghai organized on September 3rd, 2022 a workout with the participation of people from the Bulgarian community in the megapolis, Chinese and foreign citizens.

On 25 August 2022 the Vice Mayer of Shanghai Mrs. Zong Ming met the Consul Generals who arrived in the megalopolis in the last year, incl. Consul General of Bulgaria Mr. Vladislav Spasov. This meeting had been postponed for months due to the Covid-19 situation in Shanghai.

On 22 August 2022 the Consul General Vladislav Spasov received at the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Shanghai Prof. Che Shengquan, Executive Director of the Bulgarian Center at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). Prof. Chen Ke, Deputy Director of the International Exchange Office of SJTU and other Chinese officers dealing with international exchange of the SJTU also participated in the meeting.

The online concert “Where Everything Sparkles” was recorded in the Tianyige Museum & Moon Lake of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province under the patronage of Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism. The event was organized by Haishu District Publicity Department of CPC, Ningbo Tianyige Museum & Moon Lake Administrative Office and co-organized by Ningbo Opening Culture Development Co. It was broadcasted on 28 May 2022. 

The Shanghai Chapter of European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC) has invited EU Member States’ Consul Generals in Shanghai and Shanghai Chapter board members to share their thoughts and wishes on the occasion of Europe Day – May 9th.
