The Consulate General of Bulgaria in Shanghai together with other EU Member States participated in the EU Open House. The event was organized by the Belgium Presidency of the Council of EU with the support of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China. 

All Chinese visitors received passport replicas in which they gathered stamps after visiting the participating EU Member States’ pavilions as a proof of their symbolic travel to the country.    

The visitors at the Bulgarian House were welcomed by the Consulate staff and acquainted with our country and the various tourism options it offers. Many brochures were handed out and more detailed information on specific locations was provided through QR-codes of the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria.

Certain Bulgarian products available at the Chinese market such as wine, soft drinks and snacks, as well as cosmetic products containing Bulgarian rose oil – very popular among the Chinese people – were displayed at our pavilion.

More than one thousand Chinese citizens visited the event and learned about the EU, its Members States and their Consulates General in Shanghai.
