Official Ceremony for the Presentation of Letters of Credence by Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev to His Majesty King Charles III
On December 5, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland H.E. Tihomir Stoytchev presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Charles III at Buckingham Palace.
During the meeting with His Majesty King Charles III, Ambassador Stoytchev emphasised the cultural ties and the long history of over 145 years of diplomatic relations that bind our two countries. The Joint Declaration signed in October 2023 elevated these relations to a "strategic partnership".

On November 26, 2024, Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev met with Mr. James Asser, Labour party MP for West Ham and Beckton. There is a significant number of Bulgarian citizens residing in the constituency of the British MP.
Both host and guest expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations and outlined joint actions to develop parliamentary cooperation, including the formation of an All-Party Parliamentary Group on Bulgaria in the UK Parliament.

On November 29, 2024, Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev met with Mr Bambos Charalambous, Labour party MP for Southgate and Wood Green constituency. The main topic of discussion was the formation of an All-Party Parliamentary Group on Bulgaria in the UK Parliament. Special attention was drawn to the collaboration on tackling illegal migration and small boats smuggling.

On 7 November 2024, an evening dedicated to Ivan Stancioff was held at the Embassy, during which the book “I am a Bulgarian and I walk together with my people” was presented. The book is compiled by Mrs Snejina Metcheva with the assistance of the Bulgarian School “Ivan Stanchov” at the Embassy and the support of the Ministry of Education and Science Programme “The Untold Stories of the Bulgarians”.

Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev met with the Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Westminster Robert Rigby at the Westminster City Hall
Both sides noted the fruitful relations between Bulgaria and the United Kingdom. Ambassador Stoytchev emphasized the excellent cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria and the City of Westminster and expressed his gratitude for the permission granted by Westminster to construct the Bulgarian orthodox church and to open polling stations and the provided support for the different elections.
